Read this before you talk to anyone
Four rules, and one honest limit
We verify identity. We cannot verify character. The difference between those two things is where families get hurt — so read this properly.

Never send money. To anyone. Ever.
No member of this site has any reason to ask you for money — not for a visa, a ticket, a medical emergency, a business loss, a gift, or a "family custom". Any such request is fraud, without exception. Do not send it, do not lend it, do not share a card, UPI ID, or bank detail. Report the profile and we remove it permanently on the first confirmed report. Sanjogmate itself will never ask you for a second payment after the joining fee.

Marriage brokers and agents are not allowed here
This site is for the person getting married and their immediate family only. Professional matchmakers, marriage bureaus, agents, and anyone listing profiles on behalf of clients are barred from creating or managing profiles. Accounts that show broker behaviour — multiple unrelated profiles from one identity or payment source, fees quoted to members, profiles offered as a service — are removed and the joining fee is not refunded.

Everyone listed has passed an identity check
Every profile you can message has been matched against one government photo ID by a human reviewer — name and date of birth against the document. That is a real check and it removes most impersonation. It confirms that a person is who they say they are. It does not, and cannot, confirm that they are honest about anything else.

Once you exchange contacts, you are on your own
The moment a conversation moves off this site — phone numbers exchanged, families introduced, a meeting arranged — it is outside anything we can see or control. We take no responsibility for what happens after that point: not for the meeting, not for what either side claims about income, family, visa status or past marriages, and not for the marriage itself. Verify independently, meet in public, take an elder with you the first few times, and choose carefully. That decision is yours alone.
